MBF Healthcare Management, LLC announces the sale of Atlantic Dental, Inc. to Doral Dental

CORAL GABLES, FL – MBF Healthcare Management, LLC today announced that Atlantic Dental, Inc. (ADI) one of its controlled and managed companies has signed a definitive agreement to sell ADI to Doral Dental.

ADI currently serves nearly 650,000 members in Florida.  ADI built its successful business with the goal of providing access to cost-effective, high quality oral healthcare to the residents of Florida.   ADI provider networks include more than 1,300 dentists and dental specialists throughout Florida who focus on serving the distinctive needs of the Medicare and Medicaid population.

“It is the common mission of improving oral health and values focused on access, quality and cost effective care enabled by their high quality provider network that make ADI an attractive business acquisition for Doral,” said Steve Pollock, President of Doral Dental. ”

Doral is one of the largest government dental benefits administrators in the United States, serving nearly 10 million members in 23 states and the District of Columbia.  Doral is the sole third party dental benefits administrator in five statewide dental carve-outs: Tennessee, Virginia, Illinois, Massachusetts and Idaho.  Doral also serves as a dental subcontractor to more than 50 managed care organizations throughout the country.

This acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions.  It is anticipated to be completed during the second quarter of 2008.

Doral is a wholly owned subsidiary of DentaQuest headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts with regional offices in Maryland and Wisconsin.
